A traineeship is a skills development programme that includes a work placement which must be a minimum of 6 weeks. The traineeship helps prepare young people for an apprenticeship (something we can also deliver) or job if they don’t have the appropriate skills or experience.

There is no cost to your organisation and our offer is simply this:

  1. A Trainee working for you, at least 3 days a week.
  2. Free recruitment service and reference checking.
  3. A programme that is designed to meet the needs of your organisation and can develop talent in the ways you need.
  4. Fully-funded training programme covering Employability, E&D and Functional Skills.
  5. Apprenticeship training or employment support at point of progression.
  6. A £1,000 incentive payment to your organisation (per trainee, up to a maximum of 10 per region).

If you would like to set up a bespoke traineeship programme within your organisation, please email for more information or simply book an online meeting using this online calendar

Benefits to employers... a traineeship:

  • is flexible, can be sector focused and is funded by the government
  • gives your current employees experience in training and mentoring
  • allows you to design a programme that suits both the needs of your business and the needs of the trainee
  • can help you increase capacity and productivity
  • can help you develop a loyal and talented workforce
  • allows you to help tackle youth unemployment
  • is a route into an apprenticeship
  • allows you to get to know and work with young people prior to recruiting apprentices

Employers who make new work placement opportunities available may also receive an incentive payment of £1,000 per learner, for up to 10 learners.
