Football Camps 2009

2. Reading FC Camp, 9-14 August 2009 (Boys and Girls are welcome)

Reading FC Boys Camp and Girls Camp (Ages 10-16)

The camps allow young players (ages 10-16) to get closer to the club and will provide an exclusive insight into how Reading FC coach their young players into reaching their full potential. In this unique opportunity, participants will experience the follwoing:

  • Coaching from highly qualified Reading FC coaches who coach regularly with the club. The coaches are experts in talent identification, developing technical ability and team tactical play.
  • Behind the scenes tour of the Madejski Stadium.
  • Train at the Academy Centre where all the promising young players at the club play.
  • Meet a Reading FC Footballer and hear what it is like to play for this Premier League side.

Football Trial Camp 2009
Venue: Licensed Victuallers' School, Ascot, UK

Dates: 16 - 21 August 2009

Price: £425


This camp has residential and non-residential options and has been designed to teach young people about what it takes to be a professional and provide them with exposure to scouts. 

 The camp will also provide participants with the resources to improve their game. The camp will include:
1. A minimum of 3 scouts present on the trial day, including a Premiership Scout.
2. Visit from a professional player during the week.
3. Learn what it takes to be a pro from a nutritionist, a sports psychologist and a strength and conditioning coach.
4. Pro development drills and stations.
5. League competition and playoff games.
6. Speed and Agility training
7. Skills testing and evaluation – we compare your results to players in professional club academies.
8. Awards; Player’s Player, Coach’s Player, Camper of the Week.

Places are very limited on this camp so be sure to book your place early!



Facilities

The camp is run at the Licensed Victuallers’ School in Ascot. This purpose built private boarding school set in 26 acres of countryside is ideal for running specialist sport camps.  The facility benefits from sports facilities, accommodation and catering on a safe and secure premises.  There are 4 boarding houses, each with shared bedrooms. All houses are very comfortable with communal lounges with televisions, DVD players and games machines for relaxation periods.  Participants will share rooms with players of a similar age.  The extensive sporting facilities include 3 tennis courts, 2 full-size football pitches, indoor sports hall and a swimming pool.

Coaching Staff

We have a team of excellent and qualified coaching staff which includes a mixture of professional coaches, academy coaches, professional and ex-professional players. Most of our coaches return each year with the addition of one or two that we recruit. We are very proud of the high level of coaching experts we have at our football camps. As we sign new coaches we will announce them in our news items section!

English Language Courses

English language courses sit along side all of our camps. If you would like to place your child on a special English language study course whilst he is on camp, please contact us for further information. Qualified teachers will spend 2 to 3 hours with your child each morning studying and learning to speak the English language. Your child will then spend the rest of the day and evening as a regular member of the football camp.



Football Trial Camp

7. A conditioning programme sent to you 4 weeks before camp for preparation.
8. Awards; Player’s Player, Coach’s Player, Camper of the Week.

Prices: 

Residential: £425
Price includes; dormitory accommodation, 3 meals per day, football camp, trial and t-shirt.

Non-residential: £300
Price includes; 2 meals per day (breakfast and dinner), football camp, trial and t-shirt.
